My 'Sally Holmes' heirloom garden roses inspired these. Single petal simple little roses, are free hand painted over a mono-print background. The original layer of paint is sprinkled with gold leaf. The work is on handmade paper from Portugal that measures 8x8" and has a lovely deckled edge. This piece is sold unframed and would look best float mounted to show off the papers edge.
